Irvin has over 1600 hours of formal Body work training. Irvin received a certification for completion of the 1000 hour training program from the Finger Lakes School of Massage where he studied and practiced a wide variety of massage and massage related work including Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Swedish Massage, Kinesthetic Awareness through Movement (KAM), Shiatsu, Energy Palpation, Connective Tissue Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Medical Massage, Sports Massage, Essential Oils, and, Hydrotherapy. Additionally, for fourteen-weeks he provided massage to a developmentally disabled client. Irvin is also a Reiki practitioner with level one training obtained from two Traditional Reiki Masters. He has completed workshops on healing offered by the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. Prior to attending massage school, Irvin concentrated on the study of kinesiology through his training in dance and choreography as a student at Bard College. Irvin has been working with Rebecca Riley (a Certified Rolfer® Structural Integrator) in a collaborative practice where they perform Four Hand Massage.
